San Antonio, TX

Friday March 4, 2005

7:13am I just woke up. I'm going to try and go hiking today with Melissa.

7:56am  I just finished cleaning. I cleaned the bathroom and ate a bowl of cereal. I'm going to go out for the bus. Make my way to Santa Fe.

8:13am  I'm leaving my mom's house. I'm going to go see if I can get a courtesy ride.

8:22am  I'm walking down Old Tezel and I saw this guy working on the roof of a shed in his backyard. I noticed he was smoking and asked him if he could spare a cigarette. He told me sure. His name was Dave. Thanks a lot, brother. Everybody gets credit.

Oh yeah, I got a good blessing. I've got a cigarette for the bus stop. Perfect. Thank you.

8:27am  Man, this morning is full of blessings. The Ingram-bound bus came. My good friend Mr. Cardenas was driving. He's hooked me up all the time. I'll put links. 12-26-03, 7:47pm and 1-23-04, 3:10pm and 1-28-04, 7:54pm and 2-4-04, 7:10pm and 4-29-04, 8:52pm and 5-8-04, 8:00am. When he pulled up I got on "just to check the schedule." Then it just clicked who he was and I asked him if he would hook me up with a transfer. He tore one off for me real quick. I appreciate it.

8:47am  Cool, there's the 610. I'm all high and happy. I really hope something good happens today. The day is starting out good.

9:07am  We had a long wait, but we're finally taking off from the Walmart.

9:25am  Mr. Zozaya's hooking me up with a transfer on the 610. I appreciate it, brother.

9:26am  Some brother at the hospital gave me a cigarette. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit.

9:34am  Leaving the hospital. The cool driver on the 610 hooked me up with a transfer. He had asked me, "Where are you going?" I told him, "Downtown. I've been walking downtown every other day almost. You've probably seen me."

9:49am  Ahh, the bus was just sitting there at Crossroads. It had like two minutes left. I was bored so I just decided I would walk to Santa Fe from Crossroads. I'm going to knock on Melissa's door and tell her, "Hello, I am a beam of light to come brighten your day." I'll tell her, "Let's go for a bus ride. I want to take you downtown and show you my statue." I'll tell her she doesn't even have to worry about bus fare. I have two extra H transfers in my stash.

All the signs are there for us to go hiking. I have two transfers in my wallet. I scored some weed last night. I want to go have some fun. I'm going to tell Melissa, "You're always in your cave."

10:12am  Oh yeah, I got to Melissa's cave and knocked, but she never answered. I knocked hard in hopes I would wake her up. I gave up and went to see if Sam was home. Right when I was going to knock on his door, he opens it. I asked him, "Wow, did you see me coming?" He said he hadn't. He was about to leave to go to the Shamrock to buy cigarettes and coffee. That's where we're walking to now. That's crazy.

10:18am  We're coming back from the Shamrock. Sam bought me a juice. A Sunny Delight. And he gave me a cigarette. Thanks, Sam.

11:04am  The weirdest thing. I was at Sam's. He made me a big salad and offered to make me some juice in his juicer for my walk. I didn't ask Sam for anything. I went over and got him high and everything. I even took out all his trash for him. I came back and just hung out there watching Sam peel carrots. Anyway, I came back and I went to go rinse out the bowl I ate the salad in. All of a sudden he tells me, "I'm not going to make the juice for you now. You might as well let me hang out at my pad." Like all telling me to leave.

11:21am  I just realized I had gotten to the end of the side. I left off when I had left Sam's. He copped this big attitude for no reason. Maybe he resented me helping him so much. Maybe he thought it made him look bad. But after all, he was showering me with generosity. He made me a delicious salad and shared some cigarettes with me. I even started gathering his trash to take it out. I thought we were having a good karmic exchange. I mean, I had smoked him out and he got all happy and giddy and all. Then all of a sudden he changes his mind. "I'm not going to make the juice. I just want to hang out by myself," he said. I guess I can rule out Sam's place as a crash-pad for tonight. I wanted to see Melissa today, so I'm going to go back to Santa Fe anyway.

Oh, then I left and caught the bus downtown. At Travis Park some kid came up to me and I gave him the peace sign. He said he had met me before. That he had sold me some weed before downtown. He told me he was bored. I asked him, "Do you want to go see my statue on The Riverwalk?" We walked to The Riverwalk and I showed it to him and laid my scripture on him right there in front of Saint Anthony de Padua. Every time a riverboat passed by with tourists, right when the conductor would say, "And to the right is the statue of San Antonio de Padua, who the city is named after," I would turn and give all the tourists the peace sign and yelled, "Welcome to San Antonio!" Hehe, one time the conductor said, "No, not the guy with the stick, but the statue." Teehee.

I told this guy all my stories in front of San Antonio. He was captivated. When I asked him if I could continue he told me, "Keep going, I'm having fun."

Oh, I never mentioned. When I had first gotten to Travis Park I saw these two traveling kids. This couple. I walked up to them and told them Welcome to San Antonio and offered to smoke them out.

Look up "Medical Marijuana in Texas" on the Internet.

3:48pm  I got bored downtown. I jumped on the 92 bus and came to University Hospital. At the hospital I saw these two gutter punk girls. One looked familiar. I went up to them and asked, "Have I told you guys my story yet?" The one I recognized told me, "You've told me, but I want you to tell her your story." I laid it on them good. xotheexploitedxo@aol.com

4:17pm  Man, I had this awesome presentation with these two girls on the bus. One of them had already heard my story.

Oh yeah, this guy I told my story to on The Riverwalk today, I saw him in Travis Park again and he told me, "Man, you really made me think today." I smiled and told him, "That's my job."

Next day..
